BLACK SELF-GENOCIDE:
"It's all about the kids!" Bull. That is the most insincere, over-used excuse for abdication of educational responsibility I have ever heard. Everyone's shouting it, too – parents, teachers, St. Louis Public School (SLPS) Board members. You name it, they're saying it. And ever since the Missouri State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) voted 5-1 on March 22, 2007 to rescind accreditation away from and take over the St. Louis School District, everybody be pointing their collective finger at the white man and blaming "him" for stripping away their power-play thing.
As if the white people of
Missouri drove our School District into the ground.

Local Activist Reports On Fact Finding Mission To Sudan Local community activist, Zaki Baruti, recently returned from the Sudan as part of a national Black media fact finding mission led by Akbar Muhammad, the International Representative from the Nation of Islam. The thirty-one member delegation was in the Sudan April 14 – 20, 2007 and included a BET film crew, TV One members and a host of other radio personalities and newspaper writers from across the United States. The major focus of the trip was to examine from the Sudanese government viewpoint, the critical issues impacting the western region of Sudan, known as Darfur. FROM THE PULPIT: FINDING UNITY BETWEEN THE CHURCH AND
THE HIP-HOP CULTURE
To those who automatically denounce Hip Hop music that encourages
working together in harmony, peace among men, uplifting family life, and
love of God as instruments of the Devil, I say we need more of these
instruments. The spoken word is not new to Black people. Before it was called Hip Hop, Black people used poetry and music to communicate. During the revolution of the sixties and early seventies we called it the spoken word. During that time, the genre was thought of as revolutionary; in fact, if was truth set to music. According to the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, it was during the 1990’s that “Christian Hip Hop” became the descriptive term to describe Hip Hop music with Christian themes that express the songwriters faith.
